Rundtour Vuelta Mallorca
Once around the island, a different bed every night: our circular tour for anyone who finds a sternfahrt too easy-going. Six stages of 58 to 78 kilometres, gravel included, which is exactly where a gravel bike belongs.
The tour
Rundtour Vuelta Mallorca
This is our tour for experienced riders. No fixed finca, no rolling back to the same pool every day: you ride right around Mallorca, and where you sleep is decided together with us. We book whichever house is free and fits for each night. Sometimes a petit hotel in a village, sometimes a finca among almond trees. Surprise included, quality too.
The stages have something to them: 58 to 78 kilometres a day, plus sections on farm tracks and gravel where a trekking bike starts to sweat. Not for the faint-hearted, but not a race either. You set your own pace and your own breaks, and we are on the phone seven days a week if something goes wrong out there.
As always with us: you get the maps and the GPX for your GPS from us, and Stefan and I have ridden the routes ourselves. And if a stage turns out too long, we come and get you. Ride well!

Your route day by day
Six stages, and each morning you decide how far you go today.
To open the week you roll along the south coast and set course for Llucmajor. Fifty-eight kilometres to ease in: you find your rhythm and try the bike on the first gravel sections. In the evening the first of your changing houses is waiting; which one, you find out when you book.
- The first gravel kilometres to warm up
- The market town of Llucmajor as the day’s finish
From Llucmajor the route runs through Porreres towards Felanitx, straight through the quiet heart of the south. Now and then gravel crunches under the tyres, and that is exactly what the gravel bike is for. In the evening you move into your new quarters in the south-east of the island.
- Quiet field lanes through Porreres
- Gravel sections well away from the roads
Today you work your way through the east: by way of Son Servera to Artà, where the fortified church stands above the lanes. Sixty-two kilometres, with plenty of time for a long lunch. The evening in Artà is worth it: there are more good restaurants than you can manage in one night.
- The east of the island at mid-week pace
- Dinner in the lanes of Artà
From Artà you swing inland through Petra and come back to the sea at Can Picafort. Anyone with breath left jumps into the bay before dinner. And then once again: new house, new village, new stories.
- A loop through the island’s interior via Petra
- Reaching the sea at Can Picafort
The queen stage: 78 kilometres right across the island. Ration your strength; there are plenty of chances along the way for a pa amb oli and a stop in the shade. In the evening a new house is waiting, and a very well-earned dinner.
- The queen stage of the week: 78 kilometres
- Pa amb oli and shady stops along the way
- Sóller as the day’s finish
For the finale you roll from Sóller along the edge of the Tramuntana, past Valldemossa, and down into the bay of Palma. There your circle around the island closes. Ride well, and chapeau: once around Mallorca!
- Valldemossa along the way
- The circle around the island closes

Frequently asked
What guests ask us beforehand
For anyone who already has a few cycling weeks in their legs and wants more. The stages are longer than on our sternfahrten, and some of it is on gravel. Anyone who has already ridden a sternfahrt with us will know whether they are ready. If in doubt, call us and we will tell you honestly.
Somewhere different every night, and that is the appeal. We book houses for you that are free and fit your budget. Exactly which ones, you find out when you book.
It is the best choice for this tour. A sturdy trekking bike works too, and so does an e-bike. Talk to us and we will gladly advise you.
You should be able to ride 60 to 80 kilometres a day, six days in a row. Not competitive sport, but not a Sunday outing either.
